Green Filter

Green Filter

What is a sediment filter?
A physical sediment filter is installed next to the water meter, allowing the passage of clean water while blocking the passage of particles such as sand, pieces of iron, stones and others, greater than a specific size.  The filter does not reduce the amount of lime scale in the water.

How does the Green Filter work?
The Green Filter is a world-patented Israeli innovation (ein-tal company) that works on the basis of rapid and repeated flushing; in other words it blocks and washes out dirt that accumulates inside—self-cleaning by spinning around its axis.  The water passes through specially structured plastic disks, which together act as a filter; all dirt remains there (according to a relevant filtration level) and the water that passes further along is clear and clean.

The filter should be cleaned every two weeks so that it can expel dirt that has accumulated within.
The cleaning action is simple and does not require additional expenses.

How do I check if the filter is working properly?
Within two days after installation, close all home water faucets, and collect water expelled from the drainage tap (during the filter’s spinning action) into a transparent jar.  Compare this water to water from the kitchen’s cold-water tap.  The water coming out of the filter’s drainage tap should be much cloudier than water supplied to the home—in other words the filter blocks and expels dirt.
